Award-winning composerJhann Jhannsson has passed away in Berlin at the age of 48, his manager confirmed Saturday. The cause of death was not immediately known. The Icelandic composer, writer, and producerhas had a prolific career composing his own solo worksas well as scores for major films likeArrival, Sicario, and The Theory of Everything, for which he won a Golden Globe.Renowned for combining electronics with classical orchestrations,Jhannsson picked up a handful of Grammy and Oscar nominations for his film scores, while also composing music for theater, dance, and television.
